In an effort to increase awareness of their Titan pickup trucks, Nissan is taking a few of them around the country to provide potential buyers with Titan Driving Experience.
Nissan’s Titan tour actually started back in September the 1st
and has been ongoing since then with the most recent one taking place at the StubHub Center in Los Angeles. There are two main goals the tour is trying to accomplish; to educate the dealers and give potential buyers a chance to test drive the Titan.
At the specific event that PickupTrucks
editor Brian Wong visited, there were two small courses that testers can pick from. One of them was an autocross course on pavement designed for the half-ton Titans and the other was a makeshift off-road course made specifically for the titan XD. The off road portion includes rocks, an angled dirt hill, log crawl, and even a bridge.
Speaking a Nissan dealer trainer, he was told that one of the Titan Driving Experience goals is to educate the dealers on how to sell pickup trucks including the capabilities, different trims and configurations that the Titan comes with. There was even a demonstration of the Titan XD’s towing power.
If you’re interested, Nissan is going to make a few more stops this month.
The tents will be in Tampa, Florida, from October 15-16, Denver on the 21st, and Tacoma on the 22nd.
