Cool Titan XD PR - high beam Halogen Replacement to LED

hi,
anyone attempted to replace highbeam halogen bulb replacement? If so, then is it simple plug n play, or need controller/chip to handle any system error the swap may generate?
the last time (several years ago) did headlight led swap, it didnt go well (wirings, harness, fuses issue etc) so trying to test water before i go a-rod on my headlight

cheers~

smashfaq, I ordered and have the LED high beam bulbs, Pulled wheel well liners back when I got them, assumed it would be a simple switch. Time and weather prohibited me from going further. From what I was able to see. The high beam bulb has some sort of cover. The power wire does not run directly in where the bulb is, it appears to go in under the turn signal bulb.

That being said. I've seen a few people on here who said they've done the switch. I put a question out a month ago for install help. The LED high beams I got have a cooling fan on the back and I'm not sure if rubber cover is necessary to seal headlamp unit becuese it would need to be removed with for my bulbs.

Anyway, I too will be monitoring this thread in hopes of a reply.

The high beams on the Titan.....well they S*&K to say the least. Why have the 6K HID lows and then put these catpiss yellow halogens in high beam I have no idea.

Hmmmm..looking at doing this also and wondering if this would be the case. I just traded a RAM 1500 for my Titan XD and I had changed out the LED for the halogen bulbs. Had the same issues there.

1) You will need a canbus canceler or the truck will tell you the new LED is burned out because they pull much less power
2) On the RAM 1500 I had to make a hole in the bulb cover with hole saw to get the LED bulb with fan to fit. They worked great, but with that whole there I got moisture/condensation collecting in bottom of light housing. I got rid of that by drilling three small drain holes in bottom of houseing and all the moisture problems went away. I only kept that truck about 18 months before trading for the Titan but did not have any other issues.

Can you provide what bulbs you used.

I just ordered the following:

Fog Lights: http://www.opt-7.com/fluxbeam-led-headlights/ (H11 size bulb)

High Beam: http://www.opt-7.com/fluxbeam-x-led-headlights/ (Ordered the 9005 which is same as the HB3)

The above bulbs contain circuitry that keeps the trucks computer from thinking the are burned out. I used these on my 2016 RAM 1500 and they were night and day difference over the halogen (pun is intended)
