Nissan Connect

As a new purchaser, they gave 6 months of this feature called NissanConnect Services. The app attaches to your cell phone and gives you Automatic collision notification (I think I would know), Emergency calling, Roadside assistance, stolen vehicle locator, alarm notification, maintenance alert/reminder and dealer service scheduling, send a map to your car, remote engine start, remote door lock and unlock, remote horn and flash your lights, journey planner, valet joy ride, etc... Of course, you pay extra for this, above and beyond the services provided by Siruis (which costs an arm and a leg also per year). My question is:

Has anyone subscribed to this and how do you like it? Anything on the menu for them that is worth the $$$?

I didn't think it was worth the $$$ so after the free trial, I let it go.

I would say it's really only worth it if you loose your keys a lot. Ive been known to do that so I'm may just keep it for that feature.

I activated mine on 6/10 and I have been playing with it and it is neat but I am not sure what it is worth, I can start the truck lock the doors open the doors etc. One neat feature is I can type an address on my phone and send it to the truck's navigation instead of trying to add an address on the trucks touch screen. You can also get speeding notifications (helpful if daughter is driving it) so again neat stuff just not sure what it is worth

I didn't find it worth it all, and coming from a BMW for 4 years. I never used the "assist" service at all, it was free the entire time.

That said, Sirius on the XD I decided to keep. Sirius will send you offers which are quite good. I got 6 months for $29.

When my 6 months are up, I will call to cancel. Sirius will do whatever they can to keep you, probably give me the same deal.

I've got so many vehicles with Sirius that it gets confusing. They are getting more and more difficult to deal with on the phone and I had to take my "auto renewal" off because they were going crazy with the billing. Not sure who handles the payments for Nissan Connect yet.

Does Pandora eat up your data? I only have VERIZON and NOT the unlimited Data!

I wish they would put spotify on the apps. I use that, but have to connect thru Bluetooth. Works good however.

I like the gas and weather features of the connect, and may keep those if they dont cost to much.
