Timbren NRTTN, Rear Shock Absorber

I was planning on adding air bags as I pull a 35' trailer for extra stability. At the RV show a heavy duty mechanic suggested Timbren over air bags for the following reasons:
  • Little to no effect on unloaded driving comfort
  • Longivity, no issues with future air lose
  • Ease of install, 40min
  • Cost, under $300 for product

Anyone have experience with this product?

My RV dealer recommended as well, not sure if they design for XD though...

I had the timbrens on a high-top conversion van ... they were terrific... van would stay level and ride well whether you has 2 people or 6 inside ..completely eliminated sway and body roll in cross winds ....I love air bags but if they made them for a titan I would sure think about given them a try ..xxx

A guy who does some hot shot hauling for us uses them on a few of his trucks.
Including his personal Dodge, he says they are great. These trucks see lots of miles with heavy trailers behind them and he's had no issues.

I had them on my Nissan Frontier that I loaded an ATV in regularly. Completely got rid of the saggy rear end and overloaded feeling.

I made the purchase, it should arrive next week hopefully before Thursday so I can install prior to my trip up a mountian with a trailer. I will post the results.

Can you post a part number or a link to the Timbrens?

Looking forward to the review.

I've had them on other trucks and they worked well though I don't think Timbren has a set to fit the Titan XD.

They do make the air bags for the rear of the 2016 Titan XD diesel.... I've had the Ultimate 5000 on since May and there is NO harsh ride if you lower the air pressure when not hauling.

With my XD towing my trailer with less than 950lbs tongue weight, I really don't plan on adding anything.
