Icon Stage 2 Lift on Diesel

I recently purchased the Icon Stage 2 Lift from AutoAnything and expect to take delivery in May when it ships. This will be going on my 2017 XD SL 4x4 Diesel.

Few questions, is it possible to do this lift in a personal garage with all basic mechanic tools needed for this type of work (impacts, torque wrenches, etc)? I may need a new jack just simply based on size of truck, but do any bushings need pressed, etc? Can I do one corner at a time? What will I struggle with?

I've done a full lift on my old Wrangler, but vechicle was much smaller in comparison and did not require control arm replacements, etc.

Thanks for feedback I advance.

That kit is an easy install and if you can change brake pads, you could install this kit. All your doing is changing out your struts and shocks with the new coil-overs. You will need a good jack and a solid set of 6 ton jack stands, a large torque wrench and if you have some air tools, they would be nice to have on hand but not necessary. Air tools will just make it easier. The upper contol arms have thier own bushings so its an easy swap out.

When you done get it aligned as soon as possible.

yup it'll be simple. One side will take you much longer, other side will be quick.

Common sense stuff: don't let the caliper/spindle hang via only the brake/abs lines. support that ish.
UCA bolts may be a pain, stacking wrenches for more leverage may be needed, unless a breaker bar can fit.

Disconnect sway bar end links before jacking the truck up. One bolt on each LCA. It'll allow the suspension to droop fully. (sway bar delete mod would be bueno )

everything should be simple swap/plug and play. Nissan likes their 19mm bolt heads btw. Cant wait to see the finished product.

Thanks for the info. Looks likes it's gonna be a while before I get the lift. Icon has at least a 1month backorder on it. Not sure if it's production cycle related, product revision related or just simple behind. Pretty annoyed, but oh well.

Lots of coilovers are built to order, not uncommon for a 4-6 week leadtime. Maybe tell them how you're gonna use the truck and they can valve them specifically for your needs.

Garage
I installed an Icon stage IV suspension on my Ram1500 in my garage without issues. You'll be fine.

Good news, should have kit on next week. Cancelled order with AutoAnything and bought local from XTC Motorsports (they had a kit in CA wharehouse). Kit gets here today and install next week.
