Tow hitch

I am about to purchase a bumper pull travel trailer. It's dry weight is 5100lbs and its 26 feet long bumper to hitch. Do you guys think I need a stabilizer hitch to pull it 200 miles home through flat Texas?

My camper is only 5' longer then the one you are buying. There is no way in h*ll I'd pull it with out a wd hitch with built in sway control on the interstate. The xd handles it well with my set up....but at the end of the day it's a huge sail. Ymmv.

You could probably get away with it but it might be a little dicey, especially if the wind picks up.

When I bought my TT, the dealer spec'd out mine. I just asked the one I got didn't have the "chains" and had the long square bars. Personal preference.

I have a Husky centerline TS. It has intergrated sway control. I like it pretty good. It was cheaper then the equalizer brand, which is really good. Reece dual cam is also good. A good hitch and set up is invaluable for the safety of your family....

I've used a Equalizer and Reese Straight Line, both work well but the Equalizer is easier to install.
