Anyone try the intake from AFE? S&B seems to be the popular choice here. What about Banks? They had an intake on a Titan SEMA build but I can't find anything now from them for the XD. S&B constantly coded on my F350 so I put in a Banks and had no issues, great turbo sound. Just doing my homework before purchasing...
I was wondering the same. I have been reading these threads about intakes for a while and wondering about the other brands products. Also does anyone have any MPG numbers to share before and after intake install to show an improvement? I'm still in the break in period but my mind is wondering about MPG or power gains to make it worth the money.
Banks was in it and now not. (see pic) May-be the market for Titan XD parts was not large enough so they backed out.
Say, has anyone figured out if the red EGR cover assembly shown with the Banks intake in the picture above is available anywhere? Looks great and simply bolts over the top from the looks of it.
All the show engine pictures and pictures on the Cummins website had this. I actually called Cummins and they were nice, but --as others have said on other threads--their response was, "...call Cummins...we see nothing, know nothing as Nissan has all the reponsibility, rights for this engine..." Or something to that effect in a nice way.
I don't plan to delete my truck anytime soon, and this is a lot better looking that the darn EGR assembly...pure vanity, but a little engine bling is good...that red with the "C" logo is sharp!
Talk to Jason Friday and he shipped it the same day I ordered the intake. Be to my door in 4 days!!! Great customer service and very responsive to my email!!!! Even emailed to make sure I did not want something engraved on the cover.
NIce,, DId you get it installed? You love it I assume?
I've got about 5,000 miles on this intake and have noticed a very decent bump in mileage. You guys?
update (I've got 10k on the truck, 5k when it had no intake, and 5k with intake. Since intake, it's made a big difference. Yea, ecu only takes about 1-2 tank fills to adjust. Now just need a real catback exhaust.)
