Cool DEF brand

Is anyone using the Walmart Supertech DEF which is almost half cost of others ,except when you buy at truckstops
where you have DEF pumps ?

DEF is DEF so it doesn't matter what the brand name on the box is. Just do use old stuff that's been sitting in the backyard for 3 yrs, it does go bad after awhile.

Yes, i am using supertech d.e.f. From wallyworld ... I started back in october ...i have had no issues and it seems to work well.. It is iso certified which means it conforms to all the necessary standards.. I have heard rumors that they use it in their own fleet ..it is always on the shelf and appears to gertrestocked frequently so expiration date has not been a concern.. Tractor supply also sells their def for the same price/quantity.. I will stick with wallyworlds def for now ...i do like the flexable pour spout that comes with the jug,, works good and does not drip .. Good luck !! Xxx

That is what I thought until some people in other forums said that they got a CEL with a code for poor quality DEF . It could be due
to excess heat which would make some of the deionized water to evap and raise the % of urea too high, then if temps get too low
crystalization could cause problems.

I go to the local Husky station (truck Cardlock) and use the bulk DEF pump. Costs a whole $10 Canadian to fill. Way better cost effectiveness. Easier too!!

The Supertech stuff for 7.88 US (blue jug) has a date on the reverse side at the bottom. The date I buy it is ALWAYS later than the date shown on the jug. I don't know if it's a mfg date or an expiration date. At any rate, I get ~700 mpg towing with anything I use. The ingredients show the same ratios as the pricier stuff. The spare I carry is usually the PEAK from Sam's/Walmart. If on the road and it will be consumed right away, will use the Supertech.
