Hardaway Performance

Has anyone in Texas had this done to their diesel Titan XD? If so, can you share your experience? gains? worth it?

How hard will it be to remove the ECM for shipping? Where is it located exactly...

I have a question about deletes. For emissions once a year, does it just tell the computer everything is fine, or, what do you do when you have to have yearly emissions test?

Depends on your state if they don't care about emissions you have nothing to worry about. If your state does care then it will be harder. If the tune is done correctly you shouldn't have a problem when it gets hooked up to the computer. Your issue will be the visual inspection when they look and see you don't have a DPF. You have two options for this part find someone who will pass you without the DPF or put the DPF back on and either reflash the ECU then Get it redone once you pass or buy another ECU that's stock so the only hard thing to swap would be the exhaust and you don't have to wait to send and receive your ECU again.

Well I guess I will have to see how strict it is in UT then. I know they plug in to see what the computer is reporting. I don't know about the visual inspection though. Thanks for the info

I called Diesel performance and left a message that I wanted to do a delete... Still no call back. We'll see.

Hmmmm...I would have some reservations about this:

1)Only 15-25 HP increase? What about torque. Lets see a unbiased dyno run. Also, you have to replace exhaust. Just a performance exhaust should give those numbers.
2)I am not a die tree hugger, but still do not mind using DEF to cut down on NO2 emissions. I do have grandkids that will breath this air longer than I will be around to do. It is the **** exhaust filter that I hate. They put it on there to save particulate emissions but then during regen you burn so much more fuel it probably causes more pollution with carbon emissions than it prevents.
3)So you send them the ECM to flash to get rid of error codes. You still have a DEF tank send DEF to exhaust...yes???
4)What about EGR???

Seems like a high price with little to gain...just my 2 cents worth.

The hardway tune is just to delete the truck right now. The 25HP gain is from removing the DPF and stopping EGR flow.

When remote flashing is available via the OBD2 port than you will see companies offering a shift on the fly with with 3 or 4 power levels loaded ranging from 25 -130 HP gains.
