Low fuel pressure warning, broken truck!

Im at 10,854 miles, I had a local shop replace the fuel filters at 10,060 miles. I've got 123 miles on this tank of fuel, and its 45 degrees outside. Although it was ~30 F where I parked my truck over night, but it idled until it shut off from remote start, and then I drove around my yard for a 3 minutes.

I was 5 miles away from home going 65 down the highway with no problems, I get the warning ding then I lose power and I'm on the side of the road. I look behind me, dont see any wet marks, pop the hood and look under the truck everything looks fine visually. It starts up fine and goes a few hundred feet before it chugs to a stop and kills, at this point i notice a whining sound, I get out and it sounds like its coming from the front half of the vehicle, soon as I push the off button it stops.

Any ideas what I am up against? Anyone know the price for the high pressure fuel pump?

If the local shop did not follow procedure and changed both and then primed they could have damaged the lift pump. Some folks have had that happen. SOP is change one at tank prime run then change front prime run.
Take it back to them and ask questions.

Did you drain the water separator? If it got down to 30F from 45F there could have been condensation in the tank, and therefore water in the fuel.

They tore the seal on the upper fuel filter when they installed it. Replace that filter and your problems will be gone.

Don’t ask me how I know!!!

Dealer said the O-ring was damaged and that it was very obvious the previous installer did it incorrectly. They replaced the filters but said it still will not start. It started when I loaded it on the trailer, due to not being used to the push button start, I had my foot on the brake when I tried to put it into accessory mode to roll the window down.

Check the actual filter. The seal on the bottom is torn. Not the o ring. Then once you know it’s good press the start button with no foot on brake. This primes the system. Do this several times then start as normal. Should fix it.

Dealer claimed to have changed both filters and it still wont start, I had to have it towed to the dealer while I went and worked on a job I have to have finished yesterday..

Sounds like lift pump issue, sucks because if you don’t do filters properly this seems to happen often. This is an easy diy and you’ll know it’s done right if you do it.

Anyone have a part number for the lift pump? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I can find the CP4.2 for $650 but I can't find the lift pump anywhere.

That's completely wrong and not accurate. Follow the instructions that FleetGaurd so diligently wrote and that comes with the filters.
You DO NOT have to change one filter at a time and prime each time.
In fact, you are making the pump do two the times the work it should have to.
