Hello all, coming up on my first oil change with my 2016 5.0, previous owner always did service at the dealer with 10-30 oil. I've read some people use 5-40 (synthetic of course). I live in Ohio, so the climate is not super cold or hot. Any advice would help.

Rotella t6 5w40 and a wix 57620.
The filter for the 6.7 cummins will fit and has extra oil/ filter media. Make sure you also do both fuel filters at the same time.

10w30 is too thin for how hot this engine gets. Also, as mentioned above, any filter for a 5.9 or 6.7 Cummins will fit our truck while costing less and being easy to find.
