Nissan is taking steps to promote its new 2016 Nissan Titan through a video series teaser. The video series shows engineers, customers and executives talking about the new Titan.

This video is just the first in a series of over a dozen videos. The series will launch in mid-December, a few weeks before the truck is revealed at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

We really don't get much new information from this video, besides some shots of a mule out testing.

Here's the teaser video. Enjoy!

That last statement in the video should help to at least get people to test drive one and with that, Nissan should be encouraging people to do so, maybe by reaching out to them at times.

This was a good video. It shows that Nissan really went out and talked to truck owners in order to create a product that really caters to them.

I think its funny when they list a lot of things that they did first in the segment. It's like they are reminding people that they actually are good at making trucks. "See. We have done important trucks things in the past."

Well lets hold on one second, adding bedside storage is not an overall indicator of your ability to build a pickup truck. Lets keep things where they belong contextually.

The problem with 'reminding' people is, how many people are listening... Toyota has built a GREAT truck for near a decade but branding and perception will always lead en mass.

Nissan NEEDS to adopt a similar strategy to when they entered the US market, be better, be cheaper. There is no quick fix...

I just hope that they don't insult our intelligence by towing a trailer up a stupid ramp while shooting flames, or tow a Space Shuttle.
Toyota spent millions on absurd advertising...
I hope Nissan keeps it real. Their last advertising when the Titan was introduced in 2004 was pretty weak. "Look, we have a big back seat and Utilitrac", is about all they said. Nothing about how fun it was to drive because it had a great engine and rack and pinion steering, etc.

Nissan failed miserably on the marketing for the Q45 in the early 90's too. They had a car that outclassed everything by a huge margin. The LS400 can't hold a candle to the Q45, but it sold more units.
