I don't think that it is too far off. It wasn't too long after the same type of teaser news release for the XD that it became available. Maybe 3 or 4 months at most, if I recall correctly.
This is starting to look more like my choice too, but in a King Cab version.
Still hoping for a return of the Console shifter as my preference.

Probably getting another Accord. A truck just does not fit into my budget right now.

If the dealers are saying late August, it will probably be more like mid July or before. My gas XD, According to my dealer on 4/18, "the gas XDs wouldn't be out until late June, wouldn't hit dealers until July." On 4/26 I got a call from same dealer to come test drive a Gas Pro4X that they just got. They said that they had a 24 hour notice it was arriving.

Just talked with my dealer and was told the 1/2 ton was coming with 2.9ish diff gears.. should make that 390 hp feel like more

Too bad they aren't 4.10's. It should be pretty quick, though.

That truck will be quick anyway, my gas Pro4X is actually quick once the truck and I learned each other's driving styles. The 1/2 ton at 2,000 pounds or so lighter, will fly.
