Anyone ever used the silicone permatex copper gasket maker where the down pipe meets the dpf? Looks like a common thing to break. Broke mine doing weight loss and need a quick solution, can't wait until Wednesday for a new gasket to arrive.
Good to hear because I can't wait days for a new one to come in and no auto shops around can even order it. Was hoping to reuse it and knew damn well I should have bought a backup. Should the high temp RTV copper silicone do the job? Really don't want to throw on the new pipe without a gasket, even just temporarily. The flange itself? When I did my diesel diet, I used high temp rtv. Looks kind of crappy but did the job, no leaks.
