Yesterday the DEF System Error warning appeared on my 2016 Nissan Titan XD with 47k miles on it. I took it dealer and was told it was the pump going bad. Has anyone had experience with this? I was quoted $1650 to change pump. And I am wondering, what happens if I keep driving it? How hard is it to swamp pump myself?

I know this is an older post, but in case someone is looking for a DEF pump, mine is available for a very reasonable price.
