My dealer has finally pin pointed the issue so they say and it is the Diff Control Module part number 28496-EZ23A. It is not covered under warranty and is $1,200.00. Anyone know where this thing is located?

Sounds like it would be a better option to install your own switch to control the diff locking. 50 bucks in wire, switches and relays plus a day of time. Plus you get the upside of engaging it in 2wd mode.

Yeah but I do have lifetime Powertrain warranty that has already fished out $23K on my truck and I don’t want to mess that up. I did find the part for $720 so I am going to change it myself and once we learn that did not fix the issue I will bring it back to them and they can change the rear diff for free! Changing the module has not worked for many others.

Holy shit, 23k in driveline stuff? That’s a whole Titan in my area. Did they replace the transfer case and you still have it?

Transfer case twice and the transmission. Transmission alone is $15K just in parts.
Is your 4wd error lighting coming on or something?

I had ABS and traction control lights coming on. I ordered the module and now being told that it may need to be programmed but I can't find any information on this.

Gotcha I had my transfer case module replaced under warranty but then light came back on my screen saying 4wd error does not sound like same issue as yours however.

They have changed my transfer case twice! First time was because I had the 4x4 error code on.

The click into 4wd method mentioned by @cajun worked for me. No issues since.

It does sometimes for me.
Got the new module in and installed. All codes cleared and lights back on. $750 down the drain.
Now they are finally changing the rear diff!
What a goose chase you've been on.
Well I lied! The warranty company will not approve the rear diff until I change the 38481-EZ45A Switch Assembly Position. lol
It’s crazy the dealer can’t do basic trouble shooting of the rear diff. It’s a 12v solenoid and a open or closed switch. It took me less than 20 mins to confirm operation of the pro4x diff I swapped into my truck. It sounds like they are just throwing the parts book at your truck.

Anybody with a few minutes and a fucking multimeter can diagnose that. Dealership mechanics are proving to be retarded.

Dealership has told them that is not the issue. It needs a new rear diff! The warranty company has already dumped $22K into my truck and now trying to get out of the rear diff.
