I have mine installed from him with about 1000 miles on it. Absolutely no issues.
Few things to keep in mind.
Make sure you buy new coolant. Do not reuse.
Be very careful on the flange bolt that is close to the turbo actuator rod. When removing the egr cooler it comes out as an assembly from the side of the intake. Make sure to get the two bolts under the cooler or you will get extremely frustrated I can count on that lol.
Mostly basic hand tools, you will need some fairly long extensions to access some of the bolts. I work on heavy equipment for a living and am a certified Cummins tech. If anyone has any questions they can message me on here. It will take you about 3 to 4 hours so be prepared for that. The emissions components are put together like a puzzle on this engine. Make sure you have a decent extension magnet on hand because if you drop something down in the valley of the engine you will catch hell getting whatever it is back without it. Be easy on the truck the first couple hundred miles as the trans will relearn due to the massive increase in airflow.

Just installed mine yesterday, pretty easy actually. Take your time and it’ll go smoothly. Basic socket set and a 10mm, 8mm wrench and a screwdriver was all I needed. Having a magnet would have been nice, would have saved a few scrapes on my arm lmao.

Sorry it’s taken a while to get back to this project but I had to deal with some family health problems and keep my business running so this hasn’t been too priority.

The coolant bypass and EGR delete kit has been completed and road tested for 10k miles I have 5 kits fabricated and can make more. Kit comes with all hardware for install and detailed instructions. Uses your stock charge tube. The kit physically deletes your EGR cooler and bypasses your coolant back to reservoir.

Been a heck of a day, didn't end up getting elbow deep in engine bay until this afternoon because some emergency repairs showed up in the shop. I have disassembled all necessary components that are needed for templating and prototyping. I will include some photos below but its the same engine...

I bought and recommend ONLY the kit from Wheeler, and I also bought the kit from Makinmetal but his kit unfortunately has a lot of issues. No issues with the kit from Wheeler!

I have been trying to get ahold of Makinmetal about his defective kit I bought, and unfortunately I think I have been burned of my $700! I can no longer get ahold of him through this forum, and he will not return my texts. So buyer beware, I WOULD NOT by his kit! I will post pictures below:
1) coolant block off plug is completely the wrong size
2) both exhaust EGR block off plates 6 threaded holes are not tapped correctly the the bolts holes were drilled at an angle

Yep, I was the one who lost out! I did also buy Wheelers kit as well, and everything worked and fit well! A++++ to Wheeler

Seems like wheeler is supplying a good kit. I don't get how somebody with a full shop fucks it up so bad. I did my own EGR delete with a hand drill, angle grinder, and bench vise yet it turned out better than that.

I think you have a great kit other than my concern about the cooling circuit. I have some ideas on that….

Yep it’s sucks, but live and learn I guess! I did get to use at least 2 pieces from his kit that I did like, but everything else in his kit was defective or useless. I did want to keep the factory Cummins air charge tube/Cummins decal plate so I did use the aluminum plug and retaining bracket from his kit. I will post a picture of it below:
