So after a little mishap with the horse trailer! I decided to build me a flatbed that still incorporated the factory puck system, and was not super heavy. Here are some pics of the build! Not fully complete yet and need to make a few modifications to the fuel filler hose

Love the look of it. Been thinking of doing the same with my truck since the walls of the bed seem to be in the way more than they help. I think I'd add tool boses to the sides on either side of the tire.

That's awesome, looks great! Just curious, how did you mount the flatbed to the bed mount right behind cab? Did you space it with some square tubing to make it level with the back of the frame? I have a flatbed I'm about ready to mount and trying to get some ideas...thanks!

I used 6” C channel laterally braced. Next one I build I will use 3” square tube instead.

Thank you!
Apologies for bothering you again, but do you remember what size rectangular tubing you made this mount out of? Looks like 1" x 2" with roughly a 1/4" spacer. Trying to get all of my ducks in a row before I mount mine and have everything here so I'm not stranded with a truck without a bed. Thanks again for all of the help!
