I got tired of having to sift through my downloads, scroll through a bunch of shortcuts on my phone, or having to go to a website and download a section of the service manual to fimd something. This is especially annoying because the service manual is broken into almost 60 parts (I forgot the actual number, but it's in the high 50's). I'm certain many of you would agree that it's getting annoying. I wanted the manual compiled into a single, fatass PDF. So I did just that, by downloading every single section, adding it in order of the cover page, and combining them into one PDF using Adobe Acrobat. The final result is 9,796 pages long, and your phone will probably explode if you use the serach function, but now you have the option to just download the whole ass manual.

Here's the Acrobat link, you should be able to download a copy

Ok, so a couple of notes…

First, it’s a legit link, to a 341mb PDF, with a plethora of useful XD info.

Next, because of it’s size, if you’re on a mobile phone, you’ll have a better experience using Adobe’s free reader app, or it might fail to load, repeatedly.

Additionally, anyone/everyone who accessed this file, has their email address publicly published, there, for anyone to see. So far, six of us has viewed it, and all six email addresses are now visible. So if you click the link, expect to have your email address mined for spam.

I'm not very familiar with Adobe Acrobat, so I wasn't aware of the email thing. If you have suggestions for a better platform, I'll change the link.

I got the manual from NICO Club, and 2016 is the latest they were able to aquire. Not sure where you can get a manual for the 2018. The manual I provided covers both engines, and your truck should be more or less the same as a 2016.

Yes it's a good base point. It's the differences like the fuel injection system (so i was told) that I'm curious about.

A youtube video I saw a few years ago mentioned that in 2018+ they switched to direct injection system and thus the cam chain on one side of the motor was known to stretch since it was also driving the pump, also causing cam chain tensioner issues. I don't know anymore details than this. That's why I wanted to compare to a newer service manual.

I was not aware of this. I thought the VK56VD (VK = engine family, 56 = 5.6 liters of displacement, V = variable valve timing, D = direct injection) used in the XD gasoline engine always had direct injection. I knew the first generation Titan had port injection, but that was a the predecessor to the VK56VD.

If somebody here can peek at their 2016 or 2017 gasoline XD's engine and verify the injection method, that would appreciated. I'm getting conflicting information.
