Could be as simple as a rod popped out of the latch mechanism inside the door, could be more involved.
It's got a warranty, let them deal with it. No reason to be out money (assuming you can get inside the truck)
One "trick" I've used when having few lock issues was locking all doors but one (say, passenger rear), or leaving my slider unlatched but still closed incase I needed to get in. A thief would typically try the driver door I would think, but then again I'm not a thief so don't know how they think haha.
