Need to know what trim package my car

I’m trying to figure out which trim package my car originally came with because I’m shopping for replacement parts and I don’t want to order the wrong stuff. It’s an older model and the badging on the back is gone so I can’t tell if it was the base version or a higher trim. The interior looks nicer than some others I’ve seen online so I’m wondering if it came that way from the factory or if someone swapped things out along the way. I’ve got the VIN handy and the registration, but those just tell me the basics. I’ve searched online for the trim breakdown for that year but there were a lot of different versions and it’s hard to tell them apart without a proper list. If there’s some kind of official record that shows exactly what trim and options it had when it was built, that would make things a lot easier

What year and model is your car? I ran into the same issue with an old Accord I picked up — badges were missing and the interior looked like it belonged to a higher trim. I couldn’t tell if it was swapped out or if it really came that way from the factory.

The VIN and registration usually won’t show trim, they just give the basics. What you’re after is the original factory build info, which lists out the trim level and every option it had when it rolled out. I ended up getting mine checked and it cleared everything up — showed the trim package, original features, and even confirmed some parts had been changed later on. If you want that level of detail for your car, Detailed VehicleHistory is the way to go.
