If you have the factory running boards. And drive on messy winter roads as myself. Do your self a favor and invest in a nice set of mud flaps. It really piles up on the running board and gets into front of the front door jam. A nice set of flaps would eliminate this. I'm surprised my 2012 came with them factory but not these.
But aside from that no complaints fuel economy is exceeding my expectations.

Do you think your fuel economy is better than the ED might of been?

I know the ecodiesel is more fuel efficient.
But my honest opinion after my last titan. The xd will need less maintenance items, be more durable and its far more capable. So far economy wise the 5L seems to be on par with the 2.7L ford I gave up for it. That's on winter diesel. So I'm optimistic that will improve once spring rolls around. That's an added bonus.
Even the regens on my xd so far around 1400km apart with the ecodiesel they are around 400km depending in driving habits.

So your XD did not come with any mud flaps? All the trucks we have on the lot have them. I know they are available as a dealer installed option but these all were delivered from the factory with them. I just looked at the option comparison sheet and it doesn't list mud flaps anywhere. I know some trucks have been shipped missing certain options. You may want to look into this, it is possible your truck is suppose to have them.

Seriously?
Mine is fully equipped sv, maybe not the case for it. But I don't remember seeing flaps on other versions on different lots.
But I will look into it

Did some online searching, it does appear more recent ones are coming with mud flaps. I will contact my dealer. As much as it's nice saying I have one of, if not the first to arrive to Canada. But that can also be a down fall missing out on some things.

The factory mud flaps are so short, I don't know how they do much of anything they look like they would come on a car.

Yesterday morning -27 Celsius not plugged in. Started with a little hesitation. This morning -32 Celsius not plugged in. We'll let's just say it's plugged in now.
It was a little test. To see what I could push it too. But I am a little surprised as it was cold tested in the coldest winter we have had in a long time last winter.

Atc does it come from factory with a plug to warm the motor or was that after market? If stock where is it located? It was 5 degrees Fahrenheit here yesterday and no problems.

They are stock. Pop the hood standing in front look to the right side of rad you will see a plug with a safety cap.
Plugged in for about 45 min. Purring like a kitten now.
Actually the temp was -37 Celsius. So it's expected

I never thought to ask myself. Owners manual says it has one. So I had to do a better search at minus 37 lol.

That's what forums should be for sharing some info and questions. Not a bunch people calling it a useless truck. I have bought and owned alot of trucks. None have given a pride of ownership as this. The wife says I'm like a kid again.

I agree I get get quite the looks especially driving by the diesel pumps. Mostly Dodge guys believe it or not. There is a definite pride of ownership. Yeah I get quite tired of all the negative nellys that look at the numbers and won't even take a test drive. I didn't fall in love with the numbers either but hey I fell in love with the truck!

How is it in the snow and ice with the ABLS rear end for those who don't have the PRO4X? How is it in the snow with those who do have a Pro4X?
