for anyone curious about these radios, they are awesome. Just installed the 8G version and it is leaps and bounds better than the stock radio.

One thing not listed on phoenix's website, it adds backup lines that move with the steering wheel. Something thats not offered on the factory radio.

Good question, it’s pretty much an android tablet with some custom stuff for the canbus and ac controls. I don’t see why you couldn’t write a custom OS for it and flash it like any other android based device.
I’m not sure if it has additional IO but I doubt it. Documentation and support comes from China so finding a pin outs would be impossible I imagine.

I would imagine you could reverse engineer the pinouts from Titan's harnesses, since they are direct plug and play with the Pheonix unit. Seems like you probably have a higher intrinsic technical understanding of these things than me but it didn't seem like a lack of inputs or outputs was one of the hamstrings with this product. Just my uneducated $0.02 though, YMMV.

Loved it! Just don’t have the truck anymore but it’s an awesome upgrade, especially if you like to customize and tinker.

I have one of these I would sell for the same price. I pulled it from my 2016 Diesel that I am getting ready to sell. I had a big custom install and I put it all back to stock. Its the most recent model and everything is complete. There is no hard wiring you have to do its all plug and pray.

Its works pretty well and all of the factory function is retained. Apple car play and screen mirroring works perfectly.
