I'm the original owner of a 2016 Titan XD (2WD) with 125,000 miles on it. Overall, it has been a great truck but since I've owned the truck I've had this knocking noise in the suspension. It's not in the engine or drivetrain and has not and does impact the performance of the truck. I hear it on bumpy roads and typically running at slower speeds. It's not bad...but I would be elated if I could ID the noise and get it resolved. I was actually thinking it was the shocks or struts which it could be just wanted to hear from other owners.

All good...and thanks in advance!!

If it is a suspension component, they usually leave evidence of the movement. Like a washer that has a clean spot in the same diameter of the waster slightly offset from its current position.

Get a prybar and check for play in bushings. Also check for loose fasteners or oddly clean spots like NavyCuda suggested. I suggest lifting the truck onto jack stands so the tires are off the ground.

Same issue here. I have a 2016 XD Cummins with 110,000 miles. Seems my clunk or rattle noise comes from the right or left front. Only at low speeds on semi rough or rough roads. Oddly enough, when hooked up to my 5th wheel, the knock or rattle sound is barely audible and wouldn't be noticed by anyone not paying careful attention to it. Sound has been there since 35K miles. Local shop and Dealer could duplicate on road test and could never find any problems or issues with the suspension. Worked the Dealer hard and finally convinced them to replace both front shocks. After the Dealer replaced the front shocks prior to the warranty expiring. The noise disappeared for about 5K miles. Now it's back like it was before. I've chocked it up to bad factory shocks and will be replacing them with Bilstein shocks soon. Would love to solve this problem as well!
