I'm making this post to act as a library, compiling manuals and various technical documents, provided by myself and other members, into a single post. This will make is significantly easier for anyone to find detailed information they need on their truck. This can include service manuals/repair manuals, highly informative articles, diagrams, schematics, videos/gifs of how various systems specifically on the Titan XD work, and more.

If you would like to contribute, which is highly appreciated, please message me directly instead of commenting the material. I will take your submission and add it to the this first post, to keep everything organized and in one spot. I will post a comment crediting you and stating what has been added. This will refresh the thread on the recent activity page, so everyone can see that something new is added.

I apologize for the lack of information upon first creating this. I've been searching for more, yet it's fairly difficult. I've even emailed Aisin, Bosch, and American Axle Manufacturing asking for some manuals or various information. Bosch told me to piss off, and the other two didn't respond. I can access the rest of the Tech Talk magazines, which are very informative, if I can get a Nissan/Infiniti dealer code. I've been looking for a dealer code for about a week with no luck. I will continue to add to this library as much as possible, but I made it early so you guys can have the oppritunity to help get the ball rolling.

You might notice the quick facts are halfway filled in. I'm going back and forth between the service manual to gather information I think should be quickly accesible without clicking links in this thread.

I don't speak computer very well. Is this a 17.1:1 compression ratio?
Correct. I’ve seen the 16.3:1 all over the place too. I’m not sure I’ve seen it in Cummins documentation mind you. The calibration should have the correct number, since it’s part of the combustion calibration. Compression ratio also effects the flame propagation. I don’t fully understand why yet, but I do know timing is tied to compression ratio.

My guess is packing molecules much closer together helps a flame consume them, therefore it travels faster. Kind of like sound: it travels faster with a dense medium, but cannot travel in a vaccum. A fire can't burn in a vaccum chamber. This is one of multiple reasons that diesel engines are more efficient than comparable gasoline engines.

Please don't hurt me... but...

Displacement = (Cylinders * (stroke * pi * radius^2))/1000;
Displacement = 8 * (90 * 3.14... (47*47)/1000;
Displacement = 4996.64cm^3 or (304.91cid);

May I also suggest, I don't know what it is mind you, that for the spark plug category you include the glowplug/grid heater for the ISV.

Can't see if they're Bosch, but I added the Nissan part number. My assumption is that Bosch made them, like many other components on the engine.

Updated: I added a link to a paper studying the cause of the Bosch CP4 fuel pump, which is found on the 5.0L V8 Cummins, the LML Duramax, the 6.7L Powerstroke, as well as 2019 and 2020 Rams with the 6.7L Cummins I6.

I think you should also include links to things like your egr thread, if someone has a fass install thread, another on setting up and using ez lynk (that one I should do... considering I don't know how it really works)...

A bunch of links for "how to" threads is brilliant. Gathering technical documents and write-ups has been slow, as manufactuers are greedy dicks with basic information. Link dumping will help keep things rolling so this library doesn't grow stale.

Updated to add links to instructional posts on deleting your EGR yourself, cleaning builduo from your intake manifold, installing dash cameras, installing an aftermarket reverse camera for trucks that don't have one, rerouting the crankcase ventilation hose, and deleting a diesel Titan with EZ Lynk.
