Titan with utility box has different taillights, why?

I believe some of the tail lights don't have the light that shines sideways through the bed onto the tailgate to illuminate it. I don't see how that's connected to the utility box though. My 2019 has in bed lighting which includes Lights under the bed rails and lights in the tail lights to light up the tailgate but I don't have the boxes
