Does the step from Nissan fold away when not in use? Does it work?
You can be ticketed in NYC for driving around with a hitch in. I think some areas of NJ are the same. Some US States share the same law
Thestairmaster: Does the Nissan step snap back into place like the Amp Research Bed Step?
Also... do you drive the Henday East south bound on weekdays? I see white Pro 4x almost every morning on my commute to Sherwood Park =)

Any chance you still have that spacer? I just installed a kit that didn't have one and it presses up against the bumper. I think I'd rather have a little space.OK, I got the kit yesterday (999T7 W4800) and am getting ready to assemble/install it, and hit a small problem: There's an extra part. It appears to be a spacer plate, however nowhere in the documentation is this thing mentioned. Not even included in the parts list.
Dimensions are 3.0" x 1.52" x 0.34". I.D. of holes are 0.5"

The old instructions were Rev. 9/17/2015 (999T7 W4800II Rev 9/17/2015). The new instructions are (999T7 W4820II Rev. 5/13/2016). Looks like they shipped me the latest kit - but with the older instructions.
Yes, spring-loaded. Don't know the material, but suspect it's aluminum. Are those bumper steps spring loaded? What holds them in the retracted position? What material, aluminum--steel?
You'll need to look at your One to One account to see how they allocated those points. In my case, they allocated them to Service only. Can Nissan One to One purchase points be used to buy one of these steps. I haven't figured out how to use the points with the Nissan estore internet site.
