Has anyone put a methanol injection on a Titan yet? I put one on my dads 2008 6.7L cummins and wow it made that truck amazing(that and the chip/delete).

Just wondering if anyone here has installed one on a 5.0 yet. Any suggestions for brands or kits, I dont really see any built specifically for the Titan 5.0.

Yes, working on a load table programable controller that will communicate via the Cummins datalink CAN BUS. So no splicing to the factory harness. You'll have two pump control and to valve control so this unit will be good for max MPG, EGT management and power applications. I should have the completed prototype in a few weeks.

Where are you planning on putting your nozzle? I was thinking if I weld a bung to the metal pipe coming off of the intercooler going to the intake manifold. I was thinking of this so I could keep a spare one around to switch back onto the truck for warranty situations.

I am super excited to see someone doing a system like this, I have installed a 'kits' on a handful of various vehicles. I know if you made your own kit that I could get you at least 6 people purchasing them for their Titans.

You want to place the nozzles before the Intake Air Temp (IAT) Sensor so it can adjust fuel for temperature changes. The charge pipe before the intake is a good spot. I plan to spend a good bit of time testing and tuning on my stock truck and then move on to a delete. This way i'll have a really good nozzle configuration and tune. My 2011 BMW 335d loved water methanol injection and I'm sure this truck will too. I want to work with Hardway and PPEI to allow the DEF level and low warning to continue to work in a Deleted application.

I never knew how much **** an EGR put back in the motor until I was changing my oil cooler and studding my 6.0. I soaked the intake manifold in simple green and some bad ass gun cleaning solvent for 24 hours and it barely dented the nasty tar inside. Ended up using a metric **** ton of brake cleaner to get it all cleaned out. So again I'm definitely interested in the kit your working on.

Sorry guys, I got sidetracked because we had a pool installed, work issues and other life things. I never was able to get any output from the company i was talking to regarding designing a kit that would communicate over the CAN network. I did however have my truck deleted with the PPEI 60hp tune and I will say it was the best investment I have made on this truck. I use to average 18-19 mpg on my way to work and now I'm at 21-22 mpg. This is about 60-65 MPH average speed. The truck had the AFE 4" mid-pipe with 30" muffler installed. The thing sounds amazing! totally zero drone and factory noise level inside with the windows up. Roll the windows down and you hear the nice whistle of the turbo coming from the exhaust.

As for the water meth, I still have plans for this. My goal is to focus on small jets for fuel economy and some EGT cooling. I'm just going to use a basic controller that controls pump duty cycle. i will use the DEF tank for the water meth and remove the guts. I'll install a 200psi pump on the frame that should get the job done.

Well, I was really hoping to not be the guinea pig on this one, but I am surprised that this has not received more traction. I am going to start planning the installation. Hell it is less than $1K in parts. I am concerned about where in the firewall to pass through. I am really not a fan of disturbing a fine truck, but I have not even explored running wires through the firewall. Where is a good place to work with?

Wouldnt unless banks power makes a kit. No one tests methanol application as thorough.
